b.

So today I wanted to share a page with you where the inspiration came from a West Elm frame that I pinned to my Pintrest Board. For the Love of Design.

I loved the single photo centered with the off centered "B" on the frame. Taking those two things into consideration I opened up my Silhouette Studio application and played around with fonts and letters until I came up with something I liked:

I knew automatically that I wanted to use this photo of Charlotte being silly one day at the park. I love the colors in her outfit and knew they would fit perfectly with these papers from Crate Paper's Storyteller Line. Then I just had to find adjectives that I wanted to use to represent the photo and the page.

Details:

The font for the "b" is Rockwell and the amazing condensed sans-serif font is "blanch" from Lost Type Co-op. They have amazing fonts and allow you to pay what you want for the font you want to download. After I cut out the white cardstock I saw the cute little white hearts sticking to the mat and thought they would make fun tone-on-tone embellishments for the page. So I popped them up with some pop dots to add dimension.

This cute little brad from Crate Papers Pretty Party and these pink embellishments from Studio Calico and October Afternoon help add interest and tie in the colors from the bottom of the page.

I am loving on these Prima flowers lately. They also make some linen ones that I am enjoying. I love the natural texture and wood centers. They are just girly enough without being over the top.

Also, I started a facebook artist page where I am posting sneaks and my blog posts when they go live, it is a page all about scrapbooking. I would love it if you would follow me by clicking 'Like' on my facebook page:

I hope you enjoyed the page today and thank you for coming by!

  1. This is so beautiful! How did you do the journaling? I can see that the B and & is cut out, but did you use that pen holder with your Silhouette to achieve the other effect?

    1. I drew it up in illustrator as an image. Imported the JPG into silhouette studio. Traced the B and the & sign. Then I used the Print and Cut feature. :) Thanks for the compliments!
